House Of Fraser Rock - Way To Go Chris Bishop (And Team)
I've always said that competitions like the Sunshine.co.uk win a trip to Barbados ones work a treat - and they do. But merchants providing you with content and the tools to promote them is exceptionally important. And I just don't mean clever gadgets, widgets and nice imagery - which are awesome. But its the ability for them to put their faith in you, let you run wild with their brand and hope you say something nice about them.
This is where Chris Bishop at House Of Fraser comes in.
When you spend a fair amount of your free time writing about Easter eggs and chocolate in general the topic can get a bit stale and I'm always looking for a nice angle or something original to get enthused about.
I've had Darren at Linkshare nagging me to use them more generally and House of Fraser in particular so I thought I'd pop back and see if they've now got some Easter eggs in stock. And boy do they. They may only have 7 but they're ones that certainly stand out from the crowd.
So I drop Chris an email, thinking that he may be interested in sending a couple over to review because I did the odd sale for Hotel Chocolat last year. He said he'd give it a go and speak to their buyers. And look what bloody turned up this morning. A HUGE box sent over via Fedex with EIGHT eggs in!!!

I'm going to be a busy boy the next couple of days (after I've got some important client work to today)!
So thanks Chris and the guys at the Chocolate Alchemist for sending over the eggs - it should go a great way of driving some chocolate sales and brand awareness.
So here's a message for merchants. If an affiliate asks to review your products, and they have a degree of credibility, don't be afraid to put your hands in your pockets, take a risk and send them over some stuff.
P.S. I know I STILL need to tidy my office!
