Getting Married! (Got Engaged) But ...

Does anyone have any advice about handling marriage and running your business?
Do you suddenly work less?
Do your priorities change so you no-longer promote merchants on the fringes of acceptability?
Do you suddenly start to think about "lye-ins" on Sunday mornings rather than "I wonder how much I earned last night"?
Do you move your office into the smaller room to make way for a nursery?
Help!

A mega-congratulations on getting married mate. It's only the 2nd of January and you've already hit us with the biggest news story of the year ;-)
In most cases I'm sure marriage does impact on how much work you can get done. Women demand time. If you're on the computer all the time, they get stroppy (what's wrong with them?!).
I'm 100% certain I wouldn't have been able to drive my business forward as much and get as much work done if I had a partner. So I've been willing to sacrifice relationships for the the success of my business and to be able to focus on serving my clients to the best of my ability. However, each person makes their own priorities... if you have a good woman, it's worth sacrificing the world for her :-)
Congratulations Lee. That's great news but things will change for sure!
I definitely work less and so probably earn less now that I'm married but I couldn't be happier too. It's made me work more of a Monday-Friday 9-5 routine so that there is a decent work life balance and a more predictable routine.
If you need a nursery in the house then you'll need an office outside the house and not just one in the smaller room!
LOL Congratulations on getting married!
The nursery thing made me laugh as that happened to me. Had a nice home office set up, and then got kicked out to turn it into a nursery for my daughter. Now have a small computer desk set up in the living room :-)
It does have the advantage that my partner actually sees me though, if I had my own office again I don't think she would much at the moment!
Last thing, if you do have need for a nursery, you can forget about lie ins :-)
